Illegal immigrants injured trying to evade cops

MIRI: Two illegal immigrants sustained injuries after jumping from the first floor of a building to avoid the law. The incident occurred on Monday (Aug 22) in Tudan here during a police raid.

Both men, who are in their 30s, were later taken to Miri Hospital for treatment.

According to Miri Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) acting chief Ahmad Nizam Sapaiee, a team from Lopeng Bomba was deployed to the scene after they were alerted at around 1.43pm.

“Our men helped lift both individuals into an ambulance and a Bomba vehicle to be transported to Miri Hospital,” he explained.
