BETONG: An Indonesian man died after he was run over by a tractor he was travelling in at Jalan Jalan Fasa 4, Ladang Felcra, Tanjung Assam here at 11.30am on Tuesday.
Betong District Police chief, DSP Fahdil Antum Abdullah said the victim was identified as Lalu Nasriadi, 35.
“Prior to the incident, the victim was heading to a nearby palm oil with the tractor driver, Ikramullah, 24, also from Indonesia.
“While travelling along Jalan Fasa 4, he was believed to have fallen off the tractor and run over by the heavy vehicle,” he said.
Fahdil said Lalu who sustained serious head injuries died at the scene and the case was being investigated under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act, 1987.
