KUCHING: Jonathan Nyepa, free from injury and with six SEA Games appearances, is focused and ready to perform well in the 100m and 4x100m relay at the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand.
The 29-year-old sprinter from Belaga shared that his preparation is progressing smoothly as planned, with no injuries to hinder his training.
“Preparations are going smoothly as planned, free from injury, and I am mentally and physically ready,” Jonathan told Sarawak Tribune when contacted recently.
Focusing on maintaining his health and consistent training, Jonathan pointed out the importance of rest in his routine, especially as the competition approaches.

“For the 4x100m relay, my main focus right now is to stay healthy, keep up with my usual training, and get enough rest,” he added.
This will mark Jonathan’s sixth appearance in the SEA Games, an achievement that fills him with pride.
“I feel very excited and at the same time proud to still be able to represent Malaysia at such a high level,” he said.
As the SEA Games approach, Jonathan aims to showcase Sarawak’s sprinting talent on the regional stage and inspire upcoming athletes from his hometown and beyond.
