ASAJAYA: The youth are called to equip themselves with a high level of knowledge so that they can bring and continue the glory of Sarawak in the future.
Minister of Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah said that the value of patriotism and the spirit of thirst for progress need to be instilled within the youth for the sake of continuing the ongoing development that has been around for the past six decades.
“They (the younger generation) as the successors need to have the ability to continue what has been left for them to fight for so that Sarawak continues to progress and prosper,” he said.
He said this in his speech when officiating at the 60th Anniversary of the Sarawak Merdeka Convoy at the Asajaya District Samarahan Divisional Level at the Asajaya Sports Complex here today.
Meanwhile, touching on the convoy here, Abdul Karim expressed his satisfaction with its success in fueling the spirit of patriotism especially among the generation born after 1963.
