KOTA SAMARAHAN: Two infrastructure projects at the National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN) Sarawak Campus were officially handed over following the completion of the Leadership Park (I-Lead) development and upgrading works to campus road and parking facilities.

Sarawak Public Works Department (PWD) Director, Datuk Dr Cassidy Morris, said the successful implementation of both projects reflected the department’s capacity and commitment to delivering quality public facilities.

He stressed that every project was implemented in full compliance with approved specifications, technical standards, and quality requirements to ensure long-term benefits for users.

“The success of this project opens up broader opportunities for cooperation and strategic collaboration between Sarawak PWD and INTAN, particularly in the planning and development of training facilities that support the capacity-building of civil servants,” he said.

He said this during the project handover ceremony held at the campus today.

Deputy Director-General of Public Service (Operations), Datuk Mohd Shaiful Ibrahim, said the facilities would strengthen the delivery of training programmes for civil servants in line with public sector human capital development needs.

He expressed hope that Sarawak PWD would continue to provide technical expertise and support for future facility development, especially at the INTAN Sarawak Campus.

“The upgrading of road and parking facilities has created a safer, more organised and conducive campus environment, improving overall user comfort and experience, particularly for civil servants from Sarawak,” he said.

The Leadership Park (I-Lead) project at the campus involved the construction of an Incube main building, 11 outdoor elements and supporting landscape works designed to promote leadership development through an open-environment concept.

The road and parking upgrade project included road improvement works, installation of street furniture, drainage system upgrades, and the provision of covered parking facilities to enhance campus safety and convenience.
