MOSCOW, Russia: Internet connection in Iran has been almost entirely severed for more than 84 hours, said the international internet monitoring service, NetBlocks, as reported by Sputnik/RIA Novosti.

“Metrics show Iran remains offline more than 84 hours into a regime-imposed internet blackout,” NetBlocks wrote on the social media platform X on Tuesday.

On February 28, the United States (US) and Israel launched strikes on targets in Iran, including in Tehran, causing damage and civilian casualties.

Iran retaliated with strikes against Israeli territory, as well as against US military bases across the Middle East.

The strikes against Iran occurred despite Oman-brokered talks between Washington and Tehran on the Iranian nuclear issue in Geneva, Switzerland. – BERNAMA-SPUTNIK/RIA NOVOSTI
