KOTA SAMARAHAN: Investment in education development is vital to producing well-rounded and high-achieving future generations.
Deputy Rural and Regional Development Minister Datuk Rubiah Wang said such investment should not only focus on academic excellence but also on character, leadership, and personal values.
She affirmed her commitment to working closely with the Samarahan District Education Office (PPD) and school administrators to ensure that planned initiatives are implemented effectively for the benefit of students in the area.
“We want our children here to excel not only in examinations but also to become competitive, well-mannered leaders who will make the nation proud,” she said .

The Kota Samarahan MP said this during a meeting with PPD Samarahan, secondary school principals, and Form 6 senior assistants from the constituency recently.
The session emphasised the need to design both short- and long-term programmes to improve student performance, particularly for those sitting for the Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM) and Malaysian Higher School Certificate (STPM) examinations.
Discussions included implementing academic intervention strategies, targeted guidance, and motivational programmes to prepare students to face future challenges holistically.
