KUCHING: The Sarawak Agricultural Institute Semongok (IPSS) has reaffirmed its excellence with remarkable success at the 2025 National Agricultural TVET Carnival.
Represented by a contingent of 31 trainees and staff, IPSS participated in various events including innovation and sports competitions, bringing together agricultural institutions from across the country.
The event, organised by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (KPKM) and held in Shah Alam, Selangor, saw IPSS securing two bronze medals, earning third place in both Category A, Trainee Innovation and Category B, Teaching and Learning Innovation.


Further success came in the sporting events where the IPSS men’s football team emerged as champions, while the women’s street soccer team secured third place.
These achievements not only highlight IPSS’s capabilities in agriculture based TVET but also demonstrate the effectiveness of its holistic learning approach encompassing technical skills, innovation, character development and teamwork.
The carnival brought together 460 agricultural TVET students and over 200 staff members from 16 agricultural TVET training institutes nationwide.
In addition, a total of 45 new innovations were showcased during the programme, aimed at strengthening ties among training institutes under KPKM and promoting the potential of agricultural TVET to the wider public.
