TEHRAN, Iran: Iranian President, Masoud Pezeshkian, has announced conditions for ending the ongoing United States (US)-Israeli war against his country, as the two countries continue airstrikes on Iran’s vital infrastructure, civilians and historical monuments, Mehr News Agency (MNA) reported.

In a post on his X account late on Wednesday, Pezeshkian said he had been speaking with the leaders of Russia and Pakistan and reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to peace in the region.

“The only way to end this war – ignited by the Zionist regime and US – is recognising Iran’s legitimate rights, payment of reparations, and firm international guarantees against future aggression,” he said.

The Iranian president shared the post after holding separate phone conversations with Russian President, Vladimir Putin, and Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif.

The US and Israel launched attacks on Iran on February 28, which led to the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, along with top military commanders and civilians. –  BERNAMA-MNA
