KUCHING: Alexis DanceSport Studio held its annual Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) award presentation ceremony recently to acknowledge the successful candidates from the 2017 ISTD examination.
A total of 20 students from all age groups successfully passed the various medal tests in Latin American and Modern Ballroom dancing.
They were assessed by Julie Tomkins, the current Chair of DanceSport Faculties Board of ISTD, who flew in from the UK to conduct the examination in Kuching.
It is noteworthy that the number of students sitting for the ISTD examination has been growing over the past few years, which signifies the continuous strive for excellence and improvement.
DanceSport, while still relatively new on the local scene, is gradually growing and gaining interests from among the local community.
