BINTULU: The Jalan Airport Lama, from Bintulu Court traffic light junction up to Paragon traffic lights junction, will be fully closed throughout this month to facilitate the Borneo International Kite Festival (BIKF) 2025.
Bintulu police chief Supt Nixon Joshua Ali said the closure would take effect from 8 am on Sept 1 until midnight on Sept 30.
“The closure is to provide space for festival trader booths, which are expected to be among the main attractions for visitors throughout the event,” he said in a statement.
In light of this, all road users are reminded to exercise caution, plan their journeys early, comply with traffic signs, and follow instructions from police personnel on duty.
Nixon also urged festival-goers to always abide by the law, ethics and traffic regulations, as well as to fully cooperate with enforcement personnel to ensure the smooth running of the event.
