TATAU: The Tatau District Information Department (JaPen) promoted the Chatbot AIFA during the ‘Sembang Santai’ Programme with the MADANI Community of Sungai Gemuan at Happy Cafe, Tatau Old Bazaar, on Friday.
Tatau District Information Officer, Donny Minggu Ling, emphasised the importance of being aware and not blindly believing any viral news.
Instead, he urged the public to verify the authenticity of the news before accepting it as true or false.
“Chatbot AIFA is an easy-to-use platform for everyone to check the accuracy of news circulating on social media platforms such as Facebook.
“As part of the MADANI Community, it is our shared responsibility to collaborate with the government in combating the spread of false information,” he said.
Chatbot AIFA is an initiative by the MADANI Government to combat the dissemination of fake news, with an online platform for the public to verify the authenticity of news reports.
It was officially launched on January 28, 2025.
JaPen Tatau entrusted the MADANI Community with the responsibility of promoting the use of Chatbot AIFA among the local community to prevent them from being easily influenced by and believing in false information without verification.
