JAKARTA: Junior Chamber International (JCI) Kuching has emphasised the importance of international partnerships in broadening members’ perspectives and expanding market access during a courtesy visit to the Indonesia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN Indonesia).

The visit today highlighted JCI Kuching’s commitment to strengthen cross-border collaboration between Sarawak and Indonesia, particularly in an increasingly interconnected regional economy.

During the engagement, representatives from JCI Kuching noted that international cooperation plays a key role in exposing members to new ideas, diverse business environments and opportunities beyond domestic markets, while also strengthening leadership capabilities among young entrepreneurs.

The meeting also provided a platform for both organisations to exchange insights and explore potential areas of cooperation, including business networking, programme collaboration and initiatives that support entrepreneurship and leadership development.

Discussions focused on creating opportunities to enhance cross-border business exposure and foster closer engagement among young leaders and business communities from both countries.

KADIN Indonesia expressed its interest in collaborative programmes that could contribute to a stronger and more connected Asean business ecosystem.

Both parties agreed to continue discussions with the aim of translating them into actionable initiatives, marking a step towards deeper bilateral cooperation and sustainable regional business growth.
