BTS member, Jimin, has donated 100 million KRW (approximately RM 316,125) to support students in North Jeolla Province.
According to Allkpop, Jimin’s representatives expressed their intention to make the donation in July.
The process was coordinated through Jimin’s father, and the funds were deposited into the Love Scholarship Foundation account.
The money will be used as scholarships for elementary, middle, high and special school students in the province, supporting both academically outstanding students and those in financial need.
This marks Jimin’s sixth donation to local education offices. Since 2019, he has contributed the same amount to the Busan, Jeonnam, Gangwon, Chungbuk, and Gyeongnam education offices.
Allkpop also said that Jimin has consistently supported charitable causes.
He has donated over 100 million KRW to the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation, earning membership in the Green Noble Club of high-value donors.
He has also contributed 100 million KRW to the Army’s Patriotism and Comradeship Fund for servicemen and provided the same amount for relief efforts following the Turkey-Syria earthquake.
Meanwhile, BTS is preparing for a full-group album, scheduled for release in the first half of next year.
