ENGKILILI: Village Development and Security Committees (JKKK) here have been urged to provide complete and accurate information for all development project applications to avoid delays.
Engkilili state assemblyman Dr Johnical Rayong Ngipa said incomplete documentation is a major reason applications cannot be processed promptly by the authorities.
“Some applications fail to get approval due to missing supporting documents, unclear information, or errors in key details such as account numbers. Each allocation request must include an official letter and complete information, including the correct account number. Otherwise, SIMU cannot process it, causing delays,” he said in a news report by TVS.
Rayong made the call during the “Leaders with the People” event at Bonaventure Michael Longhouse, Sebangkoi, Betong yesterday (Dec 28).
He stressed that delays not only hinder project implementation but also affect grassroots development, especially improvements to public facilities and longhouses.
He added that every application must include project location, land status, cost estimates, and confirmation from relevant agencies such as district offices and technical departments.
“The state government fully supports rural development, but all applications must follow the prescribed procedures to ensure transparency and effectiveness,” he said.
Rayong also urged JKKK members and relevant parties to proactively seek information and guidance from the respective departments before submitting any applications.
