KUCHING: Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) will be bringing back its annual Ramadhan buffet, Juh Sungkei di BCCK, from Feb 20 to March 18, 2026, offering diners a wide selection of local and international favourites.

BCCK said the buffet will be available daily from 6 pm to 10 pm and is expected to once again draw families, friends and colleagues looking for a communal breaking-of-fast experience in a comfortable setting.

This year will feature more than 70 dishes highlighting Sarawak’s diverse flavours, with signature offerings including roasted whole lamb, roasted duck with soup, chicken masala, deep-fried tilapia with mango sauce, ‘ayam varuval masak madu’, lamb briyani and ‘nasi minyak berkismis’.

Popular crowd favourites, such as chicken and beef satay as well as Chinese salmon fish head curry, will also be served.

BCCK added that new items introduced this season include Chinese oyster fritters and Korean fried chicken, broadening the menu selection.

Executive chef, Tawfeeq Seow, said the buffet remains a special annual offering for the BCCK team, with an emphasis on maintaining consistent quality throughout the Ramadhan season.

“Juh Sungkei di BCCK is always close to our hearts. Our culinary team has designed a menu that reflects familiar Ramadhan flavours while maintaining quality, variety and consistency throughout the season.

“Every dish is prepared with care to ensure a satisfying sungkei experience for our guests,” he added.

Meanwhile, BCCK Chief Operating Officer, Rayner Simon, said the buffet has become a meaningful tradition for many diners in Kuching and beyond.

“We focus on delivering a comfortable, well-organised dining experience where guests can gather, reconnect and enjoy good food in a welcoming environment,” he said.

Live stations will be part of the dining experience, featuring homemade Margherita pizza, smoked duck carbonara pasta, ‘kolo mi pok’ with minced chicken and BCCK’s Sarawak laksa.

Dessert selections will include assorted puddings, tartlets and whole cakes, ‘bubur sago mutiara’, ‘ais kacang’, leche caramel flan and a cotton candy corner, alongside local favourites inspired by home-style cooking.

BCCK encouraged diners to make online reservations early, noting that the buffet offers dynamic pricing: earlier bookings receive better rates based on selected dates and availability. Seats are limited and peak dates are expected to sell out quickly.
