Julaihi retains Sebuyau PBB top post

SEBUYAU: Local rep Datuk Seri Julaihi Narawi has been reappointed as Sebuyau branch chief of Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) for the 2024-2027 term. 

The announcement was made during the branch delegates meeting, chaired by Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, at the Sebuyau Development Hall recently. 

The meeting, attended by over 750 delegates, also saw the appointment of Mohd Nayseruddin Borhan as Youth chief and Lilawati Berahim as Women’s wing chief.

New committee members for both the Women’s and Youth wings were also introduced, marking a refreshed leadership line-up for the branch. 

Addressing the attendees, Awang Tengah called on party members to remain steadfast in their commitment to grassroots engagement and the party’s mission of driving progress.

He stressed the importance of unity and innovation to ensure the party’s continued relevance and success. 

Awang Tengah, who is the PBB deputy president, also highlighted the upcoming PBB Convention, scheduled for February 2025, as a platform to chart the party’s development agenda for the future. 

The meeting ended with a symbolic ceremony officiated by him to mark the beginning of the branch’s new term. 

Also present were Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development and Kota Samarahan MP Datuk Rubiah Wang, Lingga assemblywoman Dayang Noorazah Awang Sohor, Kalaka assemblyman Mohamad Duri, Beting Maro assemblyman Razaili Gapor, PBB executive secretary Datuk Awang Bujang Awang Antek, and Premier’s political secretary Awangku Jinal Abedin Datuk Pangeran Jawa.
