KUCHING: A group of 40 trainees from the Sri Satok community-based rehabilitation centre (PPDK) were treated to Eid cheer by Premier’s wife Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang at Mydin Tunku Vista here today.
The occasion marked the annual ‘Gaya Pagi Raya’ programme, organised by the centre, wherein trainees received vital support ahead of Eid celebrations.
Timed to coincide with the end of Ramadan, the event endeavours to alleviate the financial burdens encountered by beneficiaries as they prepare for Aidilfitri.
Juma’ani, who is patron of the PPDK, distributed cash gifts of RM150 to each recipient, enabling them to procure essential Eid provisions from the supermarket.
She also accompanied the recipients during their shopping venture, actively engaging in the selection of Eid attire.
Also present were Sri Satok PPDK chairman Datuk Dr Munirah Mohd Hassan.
