KUCHING: The junction from Jalan Lapangan Terbang to Lorong Lapangan Terbang 1 near VOCO Hotel will be temporarily closed overnight for construction works.
Sarawak Metro Sdn Bhd announced on its Facebook page that the closure will take place from 10:00 pm today (Aug. 28) until 5:00 am tomorrow (Sat, Aug. 29).
The closure is required to facilitate sheet piling dismantling works along Jalan Lapangan Terbang 1.
Road users are advised to use alternative routes and plan their journeys accordingly during the closure period.
Motorists are also reminded to follow traffic management measures, road warning signs and speed limits when travelling near the work area.
Sarawak Metro urged road users to exercise caution to ensure the safety of motorists and construction workers.
The company said it would notify the public of any changes to the closure arrangements.
