KABONG: An annual allocation of RM5 million under the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) for Kabong assemblyman Datuk Mohd Chee Kadir will fund 25 development projects in his constituency in 2026.

The projects will focus on three main sectors: roads and bridges, construction, and social development.

“A total of RM2.16 million will be used for the construction of roads and bridges, covering 11 projects. Meanwhile, RM1.42 million each is allocated for the construction and social sectors, with seven projects under each category.”

Mohd Chee made the remarks during the Betong Division RTP 2026 Project Listing Workshop yesterday.

He said implementation of the projects will involve three key agencies: the Public Works Department (JKR), which will handle 10 projects; the Saratok District Council (MDS), 12 projects; and the Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID), three projects.

He stressed the need for strong cooperation among the implementing agencies to ensure successful execution.

“This is to ensure the planned projects are carried out efficiently and deliver maximum impact to the local community.”

The workshop aimed to coordinate and formulate plans for physical development projects that will bring direct benefits to the people of Kabong.
