Kampung Melayu Roban rowing team crowned King of Sungai Seblak

Kampung Melayu Roban JKKK rowing team was crowned King of Sungai Seblak 2023.

ROBAN: Kampung Melayu Roban Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) dominated the two final events at the Sungai Seblak Boat Race, held as part of the Roban Festival. 

Winning both the Bidar 10 division and earning the title of King of Sungai Seblak 2023, the team took home a cash prize of RM3,000.

The second runner-up position was secured by Rumah Punggah JKKK, receiving a prize of RM2,000, while the third-place, with a prize of RM1,500, went to Kampung Pagan JKKK. 

Kampung Tengah Kupang JKKK claimed the fourth position, earning a prize of RM1,000. Another Kampung Melayu Roban JKKK team secured the fifth position, winning a prize of RM800.

In the Bidar Tujuh category, also dominated by Kampung Melayu Roban JKKK, the team received a prize of RM1,800. The second runner-up, Kampung Masjid Hilir JKKK, was awarded RM1,200, and the third-place, Kampung Melango Lama JKKK, received a prize of RM900. 

Kampung Pagan JKKK and a team from Kampung Melayu Roban JKKK secured the fourth and fifth places, earning prizes of RM700 and RM500, respectively.

The awards were presented by Kalaka assemblyman Mohamad Duri and Krian assemblyman Friday Belik. 

A total of 12 teams participated in the event, showcasing their skills and contributing to the vibrant atmosphere of the Roban Festival.
