KUCHING: The Kampung Pasir Pandak Family Day organised by Kejiranan Mesra (KJM) Salak has successfully concluded the KJM Salak programme for 2025.

According to the Kuching North City Commission (DBKU), the Programme Anjung Kasih PPS ‘Hari Keluarga Kampung Pasir Pandak’ was held on Sunday (Dec 21) at the Kampung Pasir Pandak Hall and surrounding village areas.

The event featured a Health Dance exercise session and the highlight of the programme, the ‘Mini Explorace’, which involved 10 teams made up of family members and friends.

The activity challenged participants physically while also testing their skills and knowledge of the village, community roles and social responsibilities as they completed tasks and clues leading to the finish line.

DBKU expressed its appreciation to Minister of Women, Family and Community Development and Santubong MP Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri, as well as Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier’s Department (Project Coordinator for Regional Development Agencies, DBKU and Islamic Affairs) and Pantai Damai assemblyman, Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi, for their support of the programme.

Appreciation was also extended to the Pantai Damai Community Officer Ismail Sulaiman, along with the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) and the Neighbourhood Watch (KRT) of Kampung Pasir Pandak for their joint efforts in ensuring the success of the event.

DBKU said the programme reflected strong community spirit and cooperation, expressing hope that such unity would continue to flourish for the well-being of Kampung Pasir Pandak and surrounding areas.
