SIBU: Malaysian Red Crescent Society (MRCS) Sibu Branch recently carried out a humanitarian aid for the victims of a fire incident that happened on September 5 which destroyed two double-storey wooden houses at Lorong 6, Kampung Sentosa, here.
Led by its chairman, Penghulu Chua Hiong Kee, the team distributed 14 gunny bags of used clothing and 10 blankets to the affected families.
The 14 gunny bags comprised of eight gunny bags filled with women’s clothing, four gunny bags of men’s clothing, and two gunny bags of children’s clothing.
The aid benefited two families, comprising 19 fire victims.
“This effort reflects the MRCS’ continuous commitment to provide timely assistance and relief to support the community in times of need,” Chua stated.
