KUCHING: Kanshinkan Kendo Club Kuching members, Allister Chiew and Malcom Chieng, delivered impressive performances at the 8th Baginda Cup held in Kuala Lumpur recently.
The duo competed against kendo practitioners from across Malaysia in both the Kyu Individual Category and Open Individual Category, showcasing strong discipline, fighting spirit, and technical ability throughout the tournament.
Allister emerged champion in the Kyu Individual Category, marking a proud achievement for both himself and the Kuching-based club.
The accomplishment reflected the pair’s dedication and consistent hard work during training sessions under Kanshinkan Kendo Club Kuching.
According to the club, participation in national-level tournaments remains important in helping local practitioners gain exposure and competitive experience against stronger opponents from across the country.
