KUCHING: A total of 100 participants took part in ‘Randau Kasih 2.0’, a corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative by Katimas Group aimed at uplifting communities through skill-building, outreach and practical support.
The programme held at Wild Pantry today brought together members of the local community for a meaningful day focused on education and connection, combining immediate assistance with long-term empowerment efforts.
As part of its outreach, a soup kitchen was set up to distribute 100 warm meal packs to families and individuals at the Kuching Community Social Support Centre (Kuching CSSC), offering care and nourishment to those in need.
The event featured two workshops, with The Marketing Lab titled ‘Dari Zero ke Pro’ introducing adults to digital marketing fundamentals, and ‘Dream It, Build It: Remaja Berjiwa’ exposing teenagers to construction technology and hands-on creative thinking.
According to Katimas Group Managing Director, Datuk Franco Lee, in a press statement, ‘Randau Kasih 2.0’ reflects the company’s mission to go beyond charitable giving by helping individuals develop the confidence and tools needed to shape their own futures.
The initiative was held in collaboration with PurpleLily Social Association Kuching and Breakthrough Network Centre Bhd, who played key roles in delivering impactful sessions, while Wild Pantry supported the event as the venue sponsor by providing a community-focused space for the day’s activities.
Katimas Group said it remains committed to building resilient communities through inclusive education, digital literacy, and continued outreach as part of its long-term CSR vision.
