KUCHING: The Third Sarawak Short Course Sprint 2023 has recognized KAWARAS swim team as the Overall Best Boys’ Team.
During the tournament on September 10, the accolade for Overall Best Boys’ Team was initially bestowed upon the Power Aquatics Swimming Club (PASC).
However, a statement issued by PASC, the tournament organiser, has since acknowledged that an unforeseen glitch in their data system led to a miscalculation.
“After careful review, it has come to our attention that the winner should have rightly been the KAWARAS team instead of PASC.
“We deeply regret the miscalculation caused,” it said.
As a result of this correction, the title of Overall Best Boys’ Team has been awarded to the KAWARAS swim team.
