KUALA LUMPUR: Businesses across Asia Pacific are turning to digital tools and expert guidance to navigate a shifting trade landscape shaped by tariffs, rising costs, and evolving customs rules.

FedEx says demand for such support is growing, with over 6,500 participants registering for its latest webinar series.

“Resilience has become a strategic imperative in a trade environment of constant transformation,” said Salil Chari, FedEx Senior Vice-President of Marketing and Customer Experience for Asia Pacific.

Webinar insights show 52 per cent of businesses plan to diversify supply chains in the next 12 months, while 19 per cent have already begun.

Top drivers include tariff uncertainty (41 per cent) and cost pressures (29 per cent).

To support this, FedEx offers digital tools such as the Global Trade Manager to estimate duties and access tariff data, and the AI-powered Ship Manager for improved HS code accuracy.

Its Electronic Trade Documents enable faster, paperless customs clearance.

The company has also expanded its logistics footprint with a new direct flight from Singapore to Anchorage, and a Guangzhou-Bangalore-Europe route to enhance cross-border flows.

FedEx encourages firms to use its US Tariff Hub and consult local reps for tailored advice.

“Those best prepared are investing in flexibility, innovation, and trusted partnerships,” Chari added. – AFP
