KUCHING: Employers in Sarawak now have access to the mobile recruitment app KETEKSAJA, designed to streamline and enhance the recruitment of foreign workers.

The app, developed by the Sarawak Business Federation (SBF) in collaboration with Sarawak Information System (SAINS), aims to transform the recruitment process for industries across the state.

SBF President Datuk Seri Abang Abdul Karim Tun Openg highlighted the app’s significance in addressing workforce shortages and challenges in hiring foreign workers.

“Our goal is to tackle these issues while minimising costs for employers. Most importantly, we aim to reduce processing times, which have long been a major obstacle.

“As Sarawak continues its rapid development, leveraging technology like this app is crucial to staying ahead,” he said during the app’s launch at Sarawak Club yesterday (Jan 24).

SBF Foreign Worker Liaison Task Force Committee Chairman Augustine Chin Lee Hin added that the push for digitalisation in recruitment began in 2018, driven by increasing demand in the industry.

“By going digital, the recruitment process can be significantly shortened. I strongly encourage employers in Sarawak to use this app to simplify and streamline hiring while ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness across industries,” he said.

He also noted that registration for the app is free and that job vacancies posted by Sarawak employers will be visible to potential candidates in Indonesia through the app.

“This ‘real-time’ platform will expedite the recruitment process, reduce costs, and provide industries with a much-needed solution for securing foreign workers,” he said.

For more information about the app, those interested may visit www.keteksaja.com or download the KETEKSAJA app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
