KUCHING: The Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC) Stampin Branch and Village Development and Security Committees (JKKK) Simpang Tiga Kenyalang area have successfully co-organised a Kids’ Colouring Competition with the theme “Say No to Bullying” at CityOne Megamall on Sunday (Dec28).

The event brought together children, parents, and community members to raise awareness about kindness, respect, and courage through art.

In collaboration with the National Cancer Society Malaysia, the organisers also launched the “Jejak Kanser” health screening campaign, reflecting a strong commitment to community’s well‑being.

Mayor of Kuching South City Council (MBKS) Datuk Wee Hong Seng, who officiated the event, congratulated the young artists for their inspiring contributions.

“As we look ahead, let us continue working together for a healthier, safer, and more compassionate Kuching. Congratulations once again to all participants, and Happy New Year 2026,” said Wee.

He also thanked the joint organisers for their dedication and highlighted the importance of collaboration among NGOs, the private sector and the community.
