KUCHING: Sarawak’s sensational boxer, Muhammad Asyraf Abdullah, better known as Daeloniel Mcdelon Bong a.k.a ‘Kilat Boy’, has climbed two spots to eighth place in the Asian boxing rankings.
“The latest ranking update released last Saturday places me at eighth in Asia, compared to 10th previously,” said Asyraf when contacted by Arena Suara Sarawak.
The 26-year-old Sri Aman native expressed gratitude for the recognition, saying it fuels his motivation to keep improving.
“This latest ranking inspires me to stay focused and work harder for upcoming major tournaments,” he said.
Kilat Boy is now gearing up for the Twins Championship 103, which will take place this Saturday (November 15) at the Sri Aman Indoor Stadium.
