SRI AMAN: ‘Kilat Boy’ Daeloniel McDelon Bong captured the Super bantamweight title at the 2025 TWINS Championship on Saturday night, igniting the Sri Aman Indoor Stadium with a dominant performance.
The Sarawakian boxer defeated Indonesia’s Yenson Mustamu on points in a four-round thriller, sealing the victory before more than 4,000 spectators.
Daeloniel controlled all four rounds with sharp combinations, disciplined movement and constant pressure, while Yenson relied on a tight guard to withstand the onslaught.
The main event headlined an action-packed night featuring six other bouts across several categories.
In the Heavyweight division, Sarawak’s Aidid fell to Sabah’s Hisyam on points after three rounds.
In the Women’s Minimumweight fight, Sarawak’s Patricia lost to Sabah’s Meredy, also via judges’ decision.
2024 SUKMA Sarawak gold medallist, Gideon, was edged out on points by Royal Malaysian Air Force (TUDM) boxer, Aswan in their Middleweight contest.
Selangor’s Kim Wei Han claimed the Minimumweight title after defeating Indonesia’s Irfan on points.
In the Featherweight bout, Indonesia’s Eef Maharudin suffered a second-round technical knockout (TKO) to Sabah’s Khairul Azim.
The Super Lightweight clash ended early when Indonesian boxer, Sunardi Gamboa, sustained a right-arm injury, prompting the ringside doctor to halt the fight in Round 2.
The win went to TUDM’s Putih ‘Prettyboy’.
