KUCHING: As families mourn the sudden loss of their loved ones in the tragic helicopter crash in Sarawak, His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, and Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah, Queen of Malaysia, have expressed their deepest condolences to the bereaved families.
Their Majesties also prayed that the families and next of kin of the victims would be given strength and fortitude to face the painful loss.
“Al-Fatihah and my deepest condolences to all the victims’ family members. Their services and sacrifices will always be remembered,” His Majesty said today, according to the official Facebook post.
The victims, comprising a pilot and Ministry of Health personnel, were killed when the helicopter involved in the Ministry’s Flying Doctor Service (FDS) operation crashed in Long Lellang yesterday.
The tragedy has left the victims’ families and colleagues grieving the loss of those who had been serving communities in remote areas.
