KUALA LUMPUR: FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures opened sharply lower on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives on Thursday, in line with the underlying cash market.
At 9.30 am, the May 2026 contract fell 15.5 points to 1,691.50, the June 2026 contract slipped 14.5 points to 1,690, the September 2026 contract dropped 14 points to 1,672.50, and the December 2026 contract shed 12 points to 1,673.
Turnover stood at 8,913 lots, while open interest totalled 54,838 contracts.
At 9.48 am, the FBM KLCI index was down 5.73 points to 1,693.29 compared with Tuesday’s close of 1,699.02.
