MIRI: Kotaras City FC emerged victorious in the Miri Football League final held on Sunday (Feb 23) at Miri Stadium, solidifying their status as the top team in the competition.

The tournament featured six competing teams: Kotaras City FC, Upai Semaring, Dasan Rovers, Armin FC, Bard’s 78 FT, and ZM MIRI FC.
After a series of intense matches, Upai Semaring secured the runner-up position while Dasan Rovers claimed third place.

The champion team, Kotaras City FC, received a cheque worth RM5,000, while the first runner-up, Upai Semaring, was awarded RM3,000. The second runner-up, Dasan Rovers, took home RM1,000.

Adding to Kotaras City FC’s triumph, their star forward, Moh Haisal Yusuf, was awarded the league’s top scorer title, having netted an impressive nine goals throughout the tournament.

The tournament commenced on Jan18 and concluded on Feb 23.

The prizes were presented by Datuk Sebastian Ting Chiew Yew, Deputy Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry, and Performing Arts I (Tourism).

Also in attendance were Miri Deputy Mayor Ariffin Mohamad and Mohamad Saif Jubaidi, President of the Miri Division Football Association (since 2009).
