SIBURAN: The upgrading project of the Kampung Batu Gong Baru Multipurpose Hall, valued at RM200,000 under the Rural Transformation Project (RTP) for the Mambong constituency, has been successfully completed ahead of schedule.

The project handover ceremony was officiated by the Majlis Daerah Siburan as the implementing agency, and handed over to the head of Kampung Batu Gong Baru, Tuai Rumah Limping, yesterday (Apr 22) as reported by Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS).

The project commenced in February 2026 and has now been fully completed with satisfactory workmanship.

Its early completion reflects the strong commitment of the implementing agency in ensuring that public facilities can be utilised by the community without delay.

The upgraded multipurpose hall is expected to greatly benefit residents of Kampung Batu Gong Baru as a hub for community activities, including social programmes and local development initiatives.

The ongoing implementation of the RTP demonstrates the government’s commitment to improving rural infrastructure for the well-being of the people, particularly in the Mambong area.
