ASAJAYA: KRFC Blackcatz emerged champions of the inaugural Asajaya 10s Rugby Tournament after edging Wolfpack 10-7 in the Cup final at the SMK Asajaya Rugby Field on Sunday.
The champions enjoyed an impressive knockout campaign, conceding just seven points across three Cup matches after defeating Bulls RC 34-0 in the quarter-finals and Asajaya A 12-0 in the semi-finals before sealing the title against Wolfpack.
Wolfpack finished as runners-up, while Asajaya A claimed third place after defeating Saribas Phoenix Rugby Club (SPRC) 21-7 in the third-place playoff.
Elsewhere, WORC captured the Plate title with a commanding 38-0 victory over PLRC, while GB13 lifted the Bowl trophy after beating UNIMAS Lycans 24-0 in the final.
Prizes were presented by Minister for Youth, SPorts and Entrepreneur Development and Asajaya assemblyman Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah during the closing ceremony.
