KUCHING: With nothing to lose and everything to prove, Kuching City FC head coach, Aidil Sharin Sahak, is calling on his players to give their all against powerhouse, Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT), in Sunday’s Malaysia FA Cup semi-final.

The Singaporean tactician said his team will approach the match with focus and determination, stressing that effort and teamwork will be more important than worrying about the result.

“Yeah, we will give our best, definitely. We start 0-0, we start with 11 men.

“We’ve played them before here; so, hopefully we can put up a good fight,” said Aidil during a post-match press conference.

He admitted that while results are beyond anyone’s control, what matters most is the commitment and fighting spirit shown on the pitch.

“The result we can’t control, but the most important thing I demand from my players – for the fans and for their families – is that they have to give their best,” he added.

Kuching City’s historic FA Cup semi-final at the Sarawak State Stadium is set to be a memorable occasion for local fans, as Aidil Sharin’s men host reigning champions JDT – the dominant force in Malaysian football.

Kuching City earned their semi-final spot after a resilient campaign that showcased their growth under Aidil’s leadership, while JDT advanced following another dominant run through the competition.

The highly anticipated clash will kick off at 7:30 pm on Sunday (Nov 9) at the Sarawak State Stadium, Petra Jaya.
