KUCHING: Kuching City FC head coach Aidil Sharin Sahak has pledged to make full use of the remaining week to fine-tune his squad ahead of the 2025/2026 Malaysia Super League season, which kicks off on August 8.

Speaking to Arena Suara Sarawak, Aidil stressed that all positions will be reviewed in detail during the final stretch of preparations.

“Our focus now is to strengthen every department. The time we have left will be utilised to its fullest,” said Aidil.

He expressed satisfaction with his players’ current form, particularly after the team’s recent pre-season tour in Jakarta from July 18 to 27, which provided valuable match experience.

“The progress shown in Jakarta was promising,” he added, noting that the team’s new signings have adapted well and integrated smoothly with the rest of the squad.

Kuching City FC will open their Super League campaign at home against Kelantan The Real Warriors FC on August 9 at Stadium Negeri, Petra Jaya.

In the FA Cup, Aidil’s men are set for a cross-border clash against Brunei DPMM FC, adding further excitement to their upcoming fixtures.
