KUCHING: Kuching City FC’s Haziq Nadzli, Ramadhan Saifullah, and Jordan Mintah will don the Harimau Malaya kit as Malaysia kicks off its 2027 AFC Asian Cup qualifying campaign.
The trio’s impressive performances in the Super League this season have earned them well-deserved call-ups to the national squad, highlighting the growing impact of Kuching City FC on Malaysian football.
Goalkeeper Haziq Nadzli, winger Ramadhan Saifullah, and naturalised striker Jordan Mintah have been pivotal for Kuching City FC, helping the team maintain consistent form throughout the domestic campaign.
Their contributions have not gone unnoticed by national coach, Peter Cklamovski.
In the official squad announcement, Haziq joins fellow goalkeepers, Azri Ghani and Syihan Hazmi.


The defensive line is bolstered by seasoned campaigners, including Azam Azmi, Corbin-Ong, Daniel Ting, Declan Lambert, Dion Cools, Dominic Tan, Harith Haiqal, Junior Eldstal, Richard Chin, Shahrul Saad, Quentin Cheng, and Ubaidullah Shamsul.
The midfield features a mix of experience and flair, with Afiq Fazail, Endrick dos Santos, Nazmi Faiz, Nooa Laine, Sergio Aguero, and Stuart Wilkin set to control the centre of the park.
Meanwhile, the attacking options include Aliff Izwan, Arif Aiman, Faisal Halim, Jordan Mintah, Paulo Josue, Ramadhan Saifullah, Romel Morales, and Safawi Rasid.
Malaysia, drawn in Group F, will open their qualifying campaign against Laos in Vientiane on 9 October, with the return leg scheduled at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium on 14 October.
The national team will rely on a blend of youth and experience as they aim to secure a strong start to the qualifiers.
