KUCHING: Kuching City FC have sparked speculation among supporters after releasing a teaser graphic hinting at three potential additions to their squad for the 2026/27 season.
Shared on the club’s official social media channels today, the graphic featured three silhouetted player cards labelled “Defender”, “Midfielder” and “Midfielder”, accompanied by the caption: “Something new is coming to Kuching. Can you guess who they are?”
While the club stopped short of revealing any names, the post quickly drew attention from fans eager to see how the Cats will strengthen following a historic 2025/26 campaign.
The teaser comes after Kuching City confirmed the retention of nine key players from last season’s squad — Haziq Nadzli, Ramadhan Saifullah, Rodney Celvin, Alif Hassan, Ariff Farhan, Shahril Sa’ari, Wesley Azcang Milkias, Zharmien Ashraf and Diego Baggio.
Under head coach Aidil Sharin Sahak, the Cats enjoyed their best season to date, finishing runners-up in the Malaysia Super League and reaching the Malaysia Cup final.
The latest teaser suggests the club is moving ahead with plans to strengthen its squad as preparations continue for the new campaign.
