“Credibility and accountability are undoubtedly the focal points for the public in assessing every action and decision made by PDRM in handling issues or cases.
“The increasing public criticism regarding PDRM’s credibility and capabilities in recent times is believed to stem from dissatisfaction and deliberate provocation by certain parties.
“As a mature security force, we will never act based on public pressure or perception, especially from any interested parties.
“Every decision made is grounded in principles of integrity, the rule of law, and in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs),” he said in his message read by Kuching police chief ACP Alexson Naga Chabu.
Therefore, he said PDRM firmly rejects any form of compromise that could tarnish the image of the force or erode public confidence in this institution that upholds the sovereignty of the King and the nation, while supporting the aspirations of the Madani government.
