SAMARAHAN: Kuching team manager Bolhassan Putit was full of praise for his players’ performance in the final of the men’s team event at the 2025 Sarawak Cup Sepak Takraw Championship.

Despite falling short in their bid to defend the title they had won three times previously, Kuching lost 2–1 to hosts Samarahan in a tense final held at the Kota Samarahan Indoor Stadium last night (June 19).

Adding further, Bolhassan said the players gave a commendable and solid performance throughout the match.

“It just wasn’t our time to win and be crowned champions in this edition.

“But the players truly put on a tremendous display across all three regu matches,” he told Sarawak Tribune here today (June 20).

Moreover, Bolhassan also extended his gratitude to the players for fighting hard in the final.

He added that the team’s focus will now shift to the ongoing men’s open regu category, which is currently in full swing.
