KUCHING: The Kuching Water Board (KWB) is set to construct a high-level water tank in Kampung Bunga Rampai to address ongoing water pressure issues in the area.
Batu Kitang assemblyman Lo Khere Chiang said the project, estimated to cost RM5 million, is part of efforts to enhance the water supply and pressure in Bunga Rampai and surrounding villages.
He said the project is expected to be completed by 2026 and is currently in the planning stages.
“The current water pressure in Kampung Bunga Rampai is insufficient, so the Board is planning to build this high-level tank to address the issue.
“The land for the project has already been secured,” Lo told reporters when met during the Chinese New Year 2025 open house at his residence in Stapok here, today (Jan 30).
When asked about his recent discussion Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, Lo said they talked about the positive policies implemented by the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) government, which have significantly contributed to the state’s development.
“We discussed the successful policies and the significant progress Sarawak has made under the Premier’s leadership. We, as Sarawakians, are very proud and optimistic about the future.
“Sarawak is moving in the right direction, and future generations will enjoy a better quality of life,” Lo added.
