KUALA LUMPUR: The much-anticipated ‘Lan Berambeh Anak Sarawak’ (LBAS) returns this year with greater scale and impact, bringing together Sarawakian students, professionals and community members from across Peninsular Malaysia for a day of inspiration, connection and shared identity.

The annual gathering, organised by Sarawak Volunteers with the full support of the Sarawak Government, will take place on October 25 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), Kuala Lumpur, from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.

This year’s edition, themed ‘Perpaduan Dalam Kepelbagaian Teras Kemakmuran’ (Unity in Diversity: The Foundation of Prosperity), reaffirms Sarawak’s vision of achieving a developed and harmonious status by 2030 through unity and inclusivity.

Since its inception in 2008, LBAS has evolved from a modest get-together into a flagship platform that connects Sarawak’s youth, students and professionals in Peninsular Malaysia with the State’s leadership, serving as an avenue to communicate key policies, aspirations and initiatives aimed at driving Sarawak’s holistic development.

LBAS 2025 aims to provide Sarawakian youths with opportunities to engage directly with policymakers, voice their ideas, and better understand the state’s policies and developmental strategies.

The highlight of the day will be the Townhall Session with the Premier of Sarawak, where participants can share perspectives and exchange views on the State’s progress and future direction.

The event will also feature the Sarawak Expo 2025, which comprises 91 exhibitor booths and 75 entrepreneur stalls across three major segments: Sarawak Dreams Exhibition, Kampung Kamek Pavilion, and Treasures of Sarawak, showcasing the state’s achievements, innovations, and cultural heritage.

Other activities include ‘Kenyalang Speaks’, an exclusive talk session with notable panellists; Kenyalang Career Initiative, offering career guidance and recruitment opportunities; Sidang Siswa Sarawak – Crocs Tank, a platform for young innovators to pitch their ideas; Pocket Show Edisi Anak Sarawak; and the Sarawak Live Kitchen, celebrating the state’s rich culinary diversity.
