SRI AMAN: A total of 47 residents from Rumah Lintong, Nanga Kesit, Lemanak received aid from the Social and Sports Club of the Department of Land and Survey (LANDAS) Sri Aman, following a fire that destroyed part of their longhouse earlier this week.

The fire, which broke out around 10.03 am on May 19, burned down 15 longhouse units.

The affected families are now temporarily sheltering at the Lubok Subong Community Hall in Lubok Antu.

The aid mission was led by LANDAS representative Mohammad Hurairah Merjedi, who was accompanied by several club members.

Donations included food supplies, basic necessities, and clothing, contributed by staff of the Department of Land and Survey, Sri Aman Division.

Village head Tuai Rumah Lintong, representing the local community, conveyed his heartfelt thanks to the club for their timely assistance and support during this challenging time.
