SINGAPORE: The Land Custody and Development Authority (LCDA) highlighted its two flagship projects – the Bukit Assek Redevelopment Project in Sibu and the Pasir Panjang Development Project in Kuching – at the Sarawak Mega Fair 2025 here.
The two-day conference and exhibition, held from October 16 to 17 at the Suntec Convention & Exhibition Centre, aims to promote Sarawak’s development and investment potential to regional and international markets.
This effort also aligns with the Sarawak Government’s aspirations to achieve a high-income and advanced economy under the Post COVID-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030.
LCDA said its participation underscores its commitment to sustainable urban transformation and economic growth through strategic and innovative planning.
“Through these projects, LCDA aims to transform Sarawak’s urban landscapes into vibrant, sustainable, and inclusive spaces that contribute to long-term growth,” said LCDA in a statement.
The Bukit Assek Redevelopment Project covers an area of 815.45 acres (330 hectares) in the heart of Sibu and aims to transform the area into a modern urban hub that integrates commercial, residential, and community spaces in a well-balanced environment.
Meanwhile, the Pasir Panjang Development Project in Kuching is a People’s Project under the infrastructure development component and spans 389.77 acres (157.73 hectares).
The project focuses on tourism-oriented and mixed-use development, reinforcing LCDA’s role in creating vibrant spaces that contribute to Sarawak’s long-term growth.
LCDA’s exhibition booth also features an interactive digital presentation, offering visitors an immersive experience of the organisation’s vision for land development and its contribution towards Sarawak’s long-term growth and transformation agenda.
