BINTULU: Orisyenc, a leading technology company from South Korea, has strengthened its commitment to the Sarawakian community through the implementation of a corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme as part of its efforts to increase social awareness and contribute back to the local community.

Orisyenc chief management officer Han Hee Myung explained that this initiative is part of the company’s efforts to demonstrate that social responsibility goes beyond national and cultural boundaries.

“We are aware that most communities see foreign companies like us as only there to make a profit.

“However, through this CSR, we want to prove that we also play a role as caring members of the community.

“As a company that has been operating in Sarawak for three years, we believe that social responsibility is important to give back to the community,” he said when met at a CSR programme with children at the Peryatim Bintulu Complex, yesterday.

Han also emphasised that this CSR activity is aimed at raising awareness among Orisyenc employees about the importance of making a positive impact on the community.

“We want our employees to understand that their work here is not just about generating profits for the company but also contributing to the community in a meaningful way.

“This is one of our ways of creating strong relationships between the company, employees and the local community,” he added.

He also stressed that Orisyenc believes in the spirit of unity without borders.

“We are all part of one global community.

“As a Korean company, we want to be part of positive change in Sarawak, little by little, together with the local community,” Han added.

The CSR programme organised by Orisyenc involves various community activities, including supporting education, welfare, and local community development.

The initiative is also a symbol of Orisyenc’s long-term presence in Sarawak, in line with the company’s vision to be a trusted partner in the development of the region.

With this programme, Orisyenc hopes to continue strengthening its relationship with the community in Sarawak, while also making a positive impact on the local socioeconomic development, he added.
