TANJUNG MANIS: Efforts are continuing to ensure the younger generation in Kuala Rajang does not fall behind in education.
Deputy Minister for Urban Planning, Land Administration and Environment and Kuala Rajang state assemblyman, Datuk Len Talif Salleh, said financial incentives are being provided to help outstanding students pursue higher education.
“This assistance is not seasonal, but rather a long-term effort to ease the burden of families and develop quality human capital,” he said during the presentation of financial aid recently.
He said the Kuala Rajang Service Centre welcomes applications from parents whose children have excelled academically and gained admission into institutions of higher learning.
He added that the cash assistance is not limited to Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) graduates. It is also open to any student who has received an offer to study at a public or private institution of higher learning.
“There is no deadline for applications. Any student who receives an offer may submit it to us,” he explained.
He added that the assistance will continue to be provided from time to time to ensure no student is left out from the opportunity to gain knowledge.
“Voters in the Kuala Rajang constituency, whose children have obtained SPM results and received offers to further their studies at higher-learning institutions, are invited to submit their applications.
“We will provide a small contribution as a facilitation measure and to help ease the financial burden of parents sending their children to further their studies,” he said.
