KUCHING: A total of 351 delegates from 29 Leo Clubs in Sarawak and seven Leo Clubs from Sabah gathered today for the Lions Club International District 308-A2 Leo Forum 2025.
The event was officially opened by Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts, Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, at Raia Hotel and Convention Centre here.

During the event, Abdul Karim praised the energy, passion and vision demonstrated by the Leos, describing them as the driving force behind meaningful community change.
“What an honour it is to stand before such an energetic, passionate and visionary group of young leaders,” he said.
Carrying the theme ‘Breaking the Waves’, this year’s forum was praised for its bold and forward-looking spirit.
“It perfectly captures the character of today’s youth, who are bold, fearless and forward-looking,” he said.
As the minister also overseeing youth, sports and entrepreneur development, Abdul Karim expressed his appreciation for how the event integrated creativity with leadership, especially through the stage showcase and leadership sessions.
“This is youth development at its best; vibrant, meaningful and full of potential,” he remarked.
He urged participants to believe in their voice and their power to impact change.
“Keep serving, keep shining and keep breaking waves. Because the future isn’t just ahead of you. You are already shaping it,” he said.
