KUCHING: Level Up Fitness (LUF) has successfully concluded its 2025 annual charity fundraising campaign, raising a total of RM21,000 in conjunction with its 16th anniversary through collaborative efforts across Sarawak and Sabah.
The funds were raised through two major events held in October — PINK IT UP Fitness Fest and LUFNiversal Studio Fundraiser Week — and were distributed equally among three beneficiary organisations, with each receiving RM7,000.
The beneficiaries are the Sarawak Breast Cancer Support Group (SBCSG), the National Cancer Society Malaysia Sarawak Branch (NCSM), and the Persatuan Sukarelawan Kanser Sabah (PSKS).
This year’s initiative was further strengthened through a partnership with tHe Spring Mall, which co-hosted the two-day PINK IT UP Fitness Fest by LUF & tHe Spring Mall from Oct 4 to 5.
The festival featured a mini bazaar, group fitness classes, the Les Mills Relaunch, and a charity raffle, drawing strong participation from gym members and the wider public.
A highlight of the event was the presence of Queen, Instructor Training Consultant Team Leader from Les Mills Asia Pacific, who showcased the brand-new Les Mills Ceremony and Shapes programmes — the first such presentation in East Malaysia, particularly in Kuching.
The fundraising effort was made possible through the support of numerous partners, including TRAIN ME Private Coaching, Level Up Gym Design (LUGD), tHe Spring Mall, Les Mills Asia Pacific, LaVie Wellness Sanctuary, Borneo Hair Transplant Centre, Fe Eden, Borneo Medical Centre, Avocbar, Mindbloom Counselling & Psychological Services, Sense Massage Gaya, Seoul Garden Malaysia, Nando’s, Borneo Bodybuilding Supplements, Savo, D Dentist Dental Clinic, and One Reka Creative.
Level Up Fitness founder Kenny Sia said the initiative reflected the gym’s belief that health extends beyond personal goals.
“Health is more than just a personal goal; it is a commitment to life and to society. This year, we chose to support the Cancer Society and Breast Cancer Awareness in hopes of raising public awareness about health, while bringing hope and strength to everyone bravely facing challenges.
“Fitness teaches us resilience, courage, and perseverance, these are the qualities that are also present in the fight against cancer. We believe that when people come together, driven by love and compassion, society becomes stronger and warmer,” he said.
